James Tingley – President
General Manager, Delta Prince Edward Hotel, Charlottetown, PEI
James has 30 years experience within the hospitality industry. Commencing his career in Halifax with Canadian Pacific Hotels gravitating to resorts by holding senior positions at the Algonquin Resort and Jasper Park Lodge as Director of Operations. James returned to the Maritimes and the Island specifically as General Manager of the Delta Prince Edward 1998 and then returned west as General Manager of the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis and the Delta Bow Valley, With a strong passion for marketing, sales and community James returns to the Delta Prince Edward. Previous postings saw James sit on Tourism Boards (Alberta TDR), Hotel Association Boards (Calgary Hotel Association) and Community Boards. Engagement with team members both internal and external and passion for community and possibilities is the skill set James provides in his endeavors.
Craig Jones – Vice President
General Manager, Rodd Crowbush Morell, PEI
Craig joined the M&C PEI board in 2013. He holds a diploma in Hotel & Restaurant Management from Fanshawe College and is a Certified EMERIT General Manager and Rooms Division Executive. He has over 15 years in the hotel industry; most recently as General Manager of the Rodd Crowbush Resort. Craig’s commitment to the Hospitality Industry in PEI is evident. He is the currently VP of the Hotel Association of PEI, and has held position on the Executive Board of Tourism Industry Association of PEI as well.
Susan Ching – Treasurer
Susan has worked in accounting and finance for 20 years and the tourism industry, in some form or shape, has been and continues to be an integral part of her career. Susan’s work experience includes Corporate Controller of Rodd Hotels and Resorts, Interim Chief Financial Officer at the Confederation Centre of the Arts, and most recently, Director of Finance & Administration with the Charlottetown Airport Authority.
Carol Horne – Secretary
Chief Marketing Officer, Confederation Centre of the Arts Charlottetown, PEI
Carol has been managing talented marketing teams over the past 15 years. Currently, as Chief Marketing Officer at Confederation Centre of the Arts, she directs the multi-channel marketing and communications program for The Charlottetown Festival, Art Gallery, Showcase Gift Shop and Mavor’s Restaurant. At the Canadian Tourism Commission and Tourism Prince Edward Island she was responsible for online communications, developing and managing websites and social media programs. Under her guidance, the marketing team at Tourism PEI also produced numerous first-quality print publications and award-winning marketing campaigns. While with the CTC in Vancouver, Carol led national partnerships with NBC, American Express and Condé Nast, where US teams produced digital advertising, social media content, micro-sites and sweepstakes, blogger influencer programs, out-of-home and mobile advertising and event management.
John Cudmore – Director
General Manager, The Holman Grand Hotel, Charlottetown, PEI
The majority of John’s professional career in the industry was spent with the Rodd Family; working as General Manager at various Rodd Hotels & Resorts before moving to the executive level with Rodd Management Ltd.
In March 2009, John retired his position with Rodd Hotels & Resorts and focused his extensive industry knowledge in hotel administration, operations, renovations and new construction towards additional challenges as President of Cudmore Hospitality Consulting Inc. It was through this position that he was asked to become involved in the construction and fit up of The Holman Grand Hotel, Charlottetown’s newest hotel in over twenty five years. Upon successful completion and opening of The Holman Grand Hotel in 2011, he accepted the position of General Manager of this boutique hotel.
John has also worked in a wide range of volunteer roles in the Canadian Tourism Industry, most notably as a member of the United States Marketing Committee of the Canadian Tourism Commission; Chair of The Atlantic Canada (Canada Select) Grading Authority; President of Tourism Charlottetown and the Prince Edward Island Convention Partnership and a member the Prince Edward Island Tourism Advisory Council.
Owner Clinton Hills, Clinton PEI
Maribeth is owner of Clinton Hills a rustic renovated 1959 dairy barn which now house event and conference facilities accommodating up to 200. Clinton Hills is Prince Edward Island’s newest premier corporate business meeting and convention venue. Maribeth is also part owner of Broadway 45, an Island gastro-pub focusing on local producers and their fresh Island seafood, produce and meats. With 12 taps and a large outdoor deck, it is a great spot to enjoy fine food in a relaxed atmosphere.
Duke Cormier – Director
Owner Duke Food Service Inc., Summerside, PEI
Duke has over 30 years experience in the food and beverage industry. Over the last 8 years he and his team have operated the Convention and Meeting spaces at Credit Union Place in Summerside PEI. With over 9000 square feet of Meeting Space, quick service offerings, luxury skyboxes, two Restaurants and other unique offerings Fiveeleven Hospitality Inc. has the opportunity to service many different types of events.
Duke is involved with Tourism Summerside, is a Board Member of the North Cape Coastal Drive, Board Member of The Tourism Advisory Council and Meetings and Conventions PEI.
Duke also owns three quick service restaurants and a sign and print manufacturing company. Day to day though he is hands on with Fiveeleven Hospitality Inc. and voluntarily through board involvement works to grow tourism on PEI.
Steve Arnold – Director
Owner, Around the Sea Rotating House, North Rustico, PEI
The Halifax-born entrepreneur, Steve Arnold is the owner of Around the Sea Rotating House and the Island Solar Transit System. Steve Arnold and his family live in Rustico upstairs in the rotating house with a panorama of the village. Steve became a board member of M&C PEI in May of 2016.
Jim Martell – Director
General Manager, Lakeview Loyalist Resort & Conference Centre, Summerside, PEI
Jim has been working in the Hospitality Industry for his entire career, starting as a dishwasher in a restaurant in Melbourne, Australia in 1973. Having been fortunate enough to have worked for some well- known branded properties in Prince Edward Island he has been exposed to all aspects of hotel front desk, kitchen stewarding operations, accounting, purchasing and receiving, with his major focus on food and beverage and catering operations. Jim has been involved with several openings of venues, including being a member of the opening management teams for both Red Shores Race Track and Casino in Charlottetown and Casino New Brunswick located in Moncton New Brunswick.

Robert is the Owner/ Operator of the Riverhouse Inn, a 30 room hotel overlooking The Montague River and Marina. Robert is also the CEO of Whelan Realities Ltd and property management company.
Barry Nicholson – Director
Owner, New Glasgow Lobster Suppers, New Glasgow, PEI
Barry Nicholson is VP Operations/owner of New Glasgow Lobster Suppers. New Glasgow Lobster Suppers located in New Glasgow PEI is an a local favourite and tourism icon. Barry also sits on the board of TIAPEI, and volunteers at the New Glasgow Fire Dept where he’s been a firemen for over 30 years.
Rachel Vidito LOVES the hospitality industry! Her first job in the industry was at age 13 as a dish washer at New Glasgow Lobster Suppers and she knew immediately this was the industry for her. She graduated from Holland College’s Hotel & Restaurant Management Program in 1997 and has worked for the Murphy Hospitality Group ever since. In her 17 years with the company, she has held various roles including restaurant manager, Marketing Manager, General Manager of The Great George Hotel and most recently Director of Hotel Operations for MHG – overseeing their three hotels, The Great George, The Hotel on Pownal and The Hillhurst Inn.
Rachel is very passionate about the tourism & hospitality industry and its future growth. She is actively involved in the community and sits on various boards and committees including Meeting & Conventions PEI, Hotel Association of PEI, TIAPEI, and was previously involved with The Charlottetown Chamber of Commerce. She resides in Charlottetown with her husband Reagh and their two kids Will and Katie.
