This Queen Anne revival mansion was built by Lowe Bros. in 1903 for Mr. Parker Carvell, son of Lieutenant Governor Jedediah Slason Carvell. The family operated a flourishing produce business. A private residence until 1956, it was converted to an Inn in 1972. While extensive renovations have been done, we have taken care and sensitivity to maintain the property’s original charm and character.

The 4-Star rooms in the Inn are a tasteful combination of period décor and Victorian-style antiques with many modern conveniences. All eight rooms have private baths, 40 inch HD TV’s with digital cable and are fully air-conditioned and non-smoking, hairdryers, irons and ironing boards, free high-speed internet, voice mail, coffee makers and bathrobes.
Located just a few steps from the Inn is our newly refurbished 4-star annex. All units have private baths, 40 inch HD TV’s with digital cable, irons and ironing boards, telephones, free high-speed internet, fully air-conditioned, hairdryers, voice mail, coffee makers and all rooms are non-smoking.
