The Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization made up of business and professional people sharing a common goal – the economic development of the Greater Charlottetown Area.
Our Chamber was incorporated in 1887 and has served this community since that time. We are a voluntary, non-profit business organization with approximately 1,000 members, businesses, associations, and institutions.
Under the guidance of a board of directors elected from the membership, the Chamber serves to help business prosper. It pulls the business community together as a strong, united voice on issues affecting business development. Chamber committees are active; working hard to make sure “The Voice of Business” is heard.
The Greater Charlottetown Area features:
- The Birthplace of Canada
- Hotel/Motel and B&B’s
- Historic churches and sites
- Live theatre, art galleries, antique & craft shops
- Sightseeing tours, historical walking tours
- Golf courses, harness racing, horseback riding
- Water sports, cycling
- University & Colleges
- Restaurants & Farmer’s Market
We are the major voice of business in the greater Charlottetown area. Excitement is in the air as we host the 2014 Canadian Chamber of Commerce on beautiful Prince Edward Island.
