The Barachois Inn

Located in Rustico and central to most any activity or destination on PEI, The Barachois Inn is Prince Edward Island’s definitive five-star Country Inn, in every way – the authentic heritage of an 1880 home cast in the halo of St. Augustine’s imposing church steeples – beautifully appointed, rich with antiques, superb breakfasts, immersion in comfort and privacy and the genuine hospitality of the MacDonald family.

Open year-round, The Barachois Inn has a reputation for personalized service and a commitment to quality. Our 5 Star luxury accommodations and our historic locale all contribute to an experience you won’t soon forget. The Barachois Inn consists of two main houses, the Gallant House – built in 1880 by one of the area’s most successful merchants, Joseph Gallant – and the MacDonald House, a newer facility offering four large suites that bring a modern feel to a historic era. These two houses provide our guests with the choice of eight different styles of private accommodations from traditional Victorian rooms to luxury suites, with scenic vistas over the Island’s north shore, winding waterways and our Victorian Garden.

Amenities

Served daily in our dining room, guests come together for a delicious breakfast. Offering a choice of select seasonable breakfasts and refreshments, we always serve the freshest local ingredients to steep your senses in our lovely Island. Our guests may use one of the parlours at their leisure to relax, have a snack between excursions or even for a friendly Island style game of cards.

All of our guests are invited to stroll the beautifully groomed Victorian Gardens on our property’s Court Yard. The expansive verandas that border the house are open for your relaxation as are the common parlours along with our exercise and sauna facilities. Laundry services are also available upon request.

Meetings & Events

With the ideal combination of our corporate facilities and executive suites the Barachois Inn has every detail to make your corporate retreat perfect. We have been able to host 35-40 people for modest quarterly events, board of directors meetings and team building sessions.

Our property can accommodate just over twenty people and as always our goal is your comfort with five-star accommodations, services and amenities. We can make custom arrangements for on-site dining or if your group prefers to dine away, there are options on minutes away.

Wireless internet access is available on property for your convenience and we are minutes from local amenities including a short twenty-minute drive to the Provincial Capital of Prince Edward Island; Charlottetown.
