Louise Arsenault Bio
Louise Arsenault was born in The Evangeline area of Prince Edward Island. Louise has played the fiddle since an early age of 7. She has toured in Folk Festivals and venues around the world. She is most noted for her part in the former group Barachois as well Acadian group Gadelle. Louise is noted for her amazing rhythmic foot board percussion and dance during her high energy performances on stage. Having played on numerous CD’s over the past years, Louise filled her own life time dream during the Covid shut down by recording her own compositions and producing her own CD.
Jonny Ray Arsenault Bio
Jonny Ray Arsenault: always clowning around with the amazing ability to involve his audience. You wonder how his music could be taken seriously at times until you hear his professional performance on stage. Jonny Ray started playing fiddle at an early age in life, however he ended up settling on the acoustic guitar and mastering it successfully. By performing bilingually, Jonny Ray has also the ability to reach out and to entertain both Francophone and English-speaking audiences. Jonny Ray has become a favorite sought -after entertainer in and around The Maritime provinces. He will make you laugh, and he will make you cry with envy while performing his repertoire of Traditional Acadian, Cajun, Country and Classic rock music. Jonny Ray’s memorable past is having performed overseas with the world-renowned Acadian group Barachois as well as having represented numerous times in live performances for The Prince Edward Island Tourism in Ottawa Canada during The Ottawa Senators hockey games, as well as The Canadian Winter Games.

Garth Proude Bio
Originally from Charlottetown, P.E.I., Garth began a professional music career in Halifax, N.S. on CBC, joining the National Television series “Music Hop” (Frank’s Bandstand). From there he moved on to become House Band Leader on “Singalong Jubilee” While working at CBC and ATV studios for ten years, he became Anne Murray’s first bass player.

Garth has performed with artists in several genres of music, including some most notable performers as Anne Murray, Gene MacLellan, Catherine MacKinnon, John Alan Cameron: Jazz artists Joe Sealy, Herb Ellis, Bill Stevenson, Chris Mitchell, Mike Cowie, Bucky Adams, Georges Hebert; The Waterfront Stompers Dixieland Band; Dutch Mason Blues Band; Shirley Eikhart; John Gracie; folklorist, Clary Croft; Dutch Robinson; Rock ‘n Roll with PEI’s Fabulous Tremtones and Halifax’s “Airplay” with John Alphonse. You will also find Garth’s credits on many Maritime Cds.
Notable venues:
Provided assistance and performed for the Ea.st Coast Music Awards , The Halifax Jazz Festival, The Tall Ships, Halifax Natal Day and other Halifax waterfront functions. Garth and John Alphonse continue to provide the “House Band” for Halifax’s Christmas Daddies Telethon.
Karl Proude Bio
Karl Proude: Born in the Springdale area of Prince Edward Island in the early 50’s he grew up in a musical family. He played Guitar in those early years and into the mid-Eighties. Karl found his niche and gave his full attention to Bluegrass Music. It was those years and into Nineties that he and his musician friends formed the “Touch of Grass Band” and toured all the Maritime Bluegrass Festivals. Not only was he playing the music, but he was very much involved in promoting the music. Karl has fond memories of those Bluegrass years and the meeting and socializing with some major Bluegrass greats such as Max Wiseman, Tony and Wyatt Rice. His next music venture was another love he had which was the traditional Old-time and Maritime music, thus The Docksider’s were formed by Karl and Albert Arsenault. The Docksider’s CD was a collaboration of both French and English songs. And today performing with The Proud Islanders, Karl is determine to keep the memory and music alive of some of the great artists and songwriters who have passed on, and also the great ones that are still with us.
Amand Arsenault Bio
AMAND ARSENAULT: Born and raised in Abram’s Village Prince Edward Island. His musical influence came into play from his singer / songwriter older sister. Having dabbled in guitar playing for a while, Amand came across an accordion that was given to him. He is self-taught and gradually built his style and repertoire to include traditional, Folk, Celtic, Country, even some rock and pop, in French, English, and of course “Chiac”. Amand, while living in Shediac New Brunswick, appeared in tapings of the Roger’s cable community channel ” The Country Show” for local viewers. The Kitchen Party scene is his preferential setting, however, Amand is still exploring different song and music styles whenever and wherever he can.
