Our On Your Own Time Familiarization (OYOT FAM) program is a personal invitation for meeting planners to experience PEI when it suits your schedule. Whether you need to visit for a specific site selection or just to become acquainted with our beloved Island before you host your business event here, a PEI FAM trip is a perfect way to experience everything Prince Edward Island has to offer.
We’ll provide:
- Round-trip Airfare for one person, up to $1,000**
- Airport Transfer to Host Hotel upon arrival included (booked by Meetings & Conventions PEI)
- Hotel or Resort Accommodation (Maximum 2-night stay. Hotels/resorts chosen must meet the requirements of your future potential business and is based on availability)
- Personalized Itinerary to Meetings & Conventions PEI partners (See Planner’s Toolkit)
- Guided site selection by M&CPEI professional
- MCPEI site visit will be focused on future business possibilities
- One (1) Dinner and one (1) Lunch hosted by M&CPEI Guide

For each conference, we have created exclusive offers for delegates, like reduced rates or value-added offers at member locations. We have also created promotional tools that will help you promote these exclusive offers to your delegates.

In partnership with the City of Charlottetown, any meeting or convention with over 400 delegates is eligible for Meetings & Conventions PEI’s complimentary “Big Fish in a Small Pond” Welcome Program. The program is specifically designed to make delegates feel special from the moment they arrive and throughout their stay on PEI. Let us personally welcome your guests, Island-style!
This program includes:
- Delegates are personally greeted at the airport by our Meetings & Conventions PEI team with samples from our 2024 Big Fish product sponsor: Honibe
- Welcome Signage at the airport customized with your affiliation’s logo.
