OYSTER ART – BOOK – GALLERY – PUBLIC SPEAKER

OYSTER ART

Oyster Art is an evolving collection of complex macro-photographic images created from stacking multiple photos of small sections of oyster shells gathered from around the globe. No two oyster shells are alike, providing endless possibilities to inspire her work. Only a small percentage of shells prove to be “photogenic” enough to create an Oyster Art image. At the Studio/Gallery discover nature’s miniature worlds hidden inside an oyster shell displayed on cotton paper, canvas and acrylic. Look through the camera lens and learn from photographic artist Debbie Brady how these images come to life.

Each one is a unique piece of Island art with timeless depth and beauty enriching any space with an incredible story.
I am delighted to negotiate commissions as part of my portfolio. A special memory is created when a client’s oyster shell is the subject for their very own piece of Oyster Art. The inspiration shell is returned to the client for display. Size and proportions can also be customized.

THE BOOK

Oyster Art: THE BOOK will ignite a heightened appreciation for Prince Edward Island, its oysters, and the aquafarmers caring for them. Enjoy a artwork-guided journey along the shores of the Island’s four scenic areas. Ten 12″ x 8″ artworks per scenic area makes this a unique fine art collection. In addition there are engaging stories behind the artwork, trivia about oysters, information about Prince Edward Island as well as photographic specifications.

Through this book you’ll be educated and inspired, all about a subject that you would have never thought at length about: the colours, lines and textures of the shell of an oyster.

Debbie’s creative process is explained on her eCommerce website https://oysterart.ca/oyster-art-the-book/

Having seen Oyster Art, appreciation for this mollusc is heightened beyond its gastronomic appeal. Reactions often include: “I’ll never look at an oyster shell the same way again!
