Food Island Partnership is an industry-led organization tasked with growing the food industry through food company and food cluster development on Prince Edward Island. Our vision is to establish Prince Edward Island, Canada’s Food Island, as an internationally recognized place of origin for premium food products and a destination for culinary excellence.

A key area of focus for the Food Island Partnership is supporting the growth of PEI food businesses. We provide support to value-added food companies through a series of activities:

Food Xcel has been developed to help aspiring food entrepreneurs move their idea forward through a combination of progressive workshops, networking opportunities with food agencies, industry experts, and entrepreneurs and a chance to compete for a $25,000 award from Innovation PEI’s Ignition Fund!       More Info

Prince Edward Island’s food industry networked with global technology leaders and local success stories about the latest developments in food automation and transforming food waste into increased value at Food Automation Atlantic. Food Automation Atlantic is Atlantic Canada’s first food automation conference that took place on March 21st, 2018. Attendees had the opportunity to network and learn from global speakers who highlighted how leading food processors are embracing sorting technology, robotics, and customized solutions to improve their business, as well as gather information about future funding opportunities.
