Friends say they don’t recognize him without a guitar, as Dan Doiron has been inspired by the instrument since he formed his first band at the age of 13 in Port Hood Cape Breton. In 2011 Dan stepped out as a solo recording artist, earning both East Coast Music Award and Music Nova Scotia nominations for his debut CD, “Even My Guitar Is In Love With You”. A torrential body of multi award nominated work has followed and in 2018 his fourth album “Livin’ Centre Stage” won the Music Nova Scotia Award for Blues Album of the Year.

Not only a crowd-pleasing entertainer and musician, Dan is also passionate about creativity, growth and living life to the fullest which led him to create a series of workshops, seminars and concerts he calls Live Centre Stage. His mission is to inspire others to live their passion regardless of age or stage in life, presenting as a speaker or entertainer or uniquely as both presenting what he calls “Keynote” concerts”. Through stories, songs and interactive demonstrations Dan takes you through planning, organizing, and committing to your Centre Stage with emphasis on growth, health, and a balanced lifestyle.

“Change is constant and how we prepare, embrace, and honour the challenge is the key to fulfillment and growth, both professionally and personally. I had a varied 35-year career as an educator, recording engineer, clinician, and musical instrument product specialist, but music performance had always been my passion and I finally decided to follow that dream in 2011. I began the Live Centre Stage program in 2017 because I wanted to share the tools that had helped me in this journey and to encourage others to dream big and go for it!”

On October 18, 2018, at the Start Up Canada convention at the Shaw Centre in Ottawa, Dan’s Live Centre Stage project was honoured as one of the WISE 50 Over 50 award recipients and he performed at the event. The award recognizes fifty entrepreneurs from across Canada who started their enterprises after reaching the age of fifty and celebrates their success.

One of the focal Live Centre Stage initiatives is the impactful “Keynote concert”, which is part informative presentation, and part upbeat, entertaining musical performance. This presentation can be speaking only, music performance only, or a combination, and length and focus can also be varied the to suit the desired goals and objectives for specific events.

Performing everything from background instrumental dinner music for fine dining, to a wide variety of pop favourites to full keynote concert presentations to motivate and inspire, Dan has many offerings to enhance and energize any conference or meeting situation.
