The Charlottetown Driving Park first opened its doors for standardbred harness racing October 2, 1888. It’s been an amazing journey that has touched every Island community over the years. Horse racing has been a major part of our island heritage. Visitors from around the world come to the Red Shores Racetrack and Casino to experience an island tradition.

It is one of the most sophisticated centres of its kind in Atlantic Canada, balancing high-quality entertainment with the most advanced responsible gaming features available today.

TOP OF THE PARK

This large multi-tier dining room is located on the second level of Red Shores Racetrack & Casino giving an amazing view of the historic Charlottetown Driving Park and Judges Tower. The space can accommodate up to 200 guests for a sit-down dinner or a stand-up reception. It is an ideal location for private dinners, corporate receptions & functions, fundraising events, and employee appreciation experiences.

HISTORIC JUDGE’S STAND

The Historic Judges Tower in the centerfield of the Charlottetown Driving Park is an exciting place to book your next event. Feel the thunder of the horses as they race to the finish line just feet away from your group. You will literally be on the inside track as you enjoy the live action right in front of you or get a bird’s eye view of the entire track from the upper level. Historically restored to its original 1889 glory, it is a special place to hold corporate receptions, group functions and memory-making events.

GRANDSTAND

This large room is located adjacent to the Top of the Park Restaurant and can accommodate up to 200 guests in the theater style seating. The space overlooks the legendary Charlottetown Driving Park & Judges Tower and is equipped with a built-in screen, projector, tinted windows, and pull-down blinds. This room can be reserved privately.

1888 LOUNGE

This newly renovated space is located off the second floor of Red Shores and can accommodate up to 40 people for a meeting or 100 for a stand-up reception. It is an ideal area to host a business meeting, luncheon, or reception. Bar service is also available in this room.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Our catering team led by Chef Andrew Smith, is dedicated to providing your group with a dining experience that will leave you wanting more, by using the Island’s freshest and tastiest ingredients. The culinary team at Red Shores has won awards for best dessert and local dish at Food and Wine Savor, as well as best ribs on PEI. We always look at Prince Edward Island first when it comes to supporting our producers.
